There is a belief that we need to do something.
The subject of the Pentecost 2013 meeting to be held in March or April 2013 is:Pentecost 2013-2014: What can WE DO to make it happen, or at least to speed it up?
The emphasis is on the DOING, and on the WE. We as the collective body of God-centered people from all faiths and denominations.
The first Pentecost was the commitment on the part of 12 poor and barely educated followers, to spread the message they learned, such as they interpreted and applied.
Today WE are many more, much better educated and, even if the interpretations and the applications continue to be many and varied, this is just an additional bonus for the propagation of a message that will change the nature and history of the human race.If you like the idea send your short opinion/input to ROBIN GRAHAM for publication in the Cornerstone.

Foundation Day is a few weeks away.
It would be wonderful if some cataclysmic change took place in the days and weeks after February 22, 2013.
However we all know that True Father taught us that the “Kingdom would be built in his power but with our own hands”.
Pentecost 2013 or 2014. What can we do to make it happen? We, the collective body of God-centered people of a variety of faiths.

The first Pentecost was the result of the commitment of 12 poorly educated followers who spread the message of Jesus as they had learned and interpreted it. Currently there are many more than 12 follower of TP. Undoubtedly better educated than the biblical group of 2000 years ago even though interpretation and practice continues to be varied.

PENTECOST—some random thoughts.
If you think about the Pentecost in the Bible that occurred after the death of Jesus, you can realize that the Roman Empire was seemingly at its height, but the Rome was fraught with moral corruption at the highest levels of government. It was beginning a long collapse from within. Cicero had lamented the loss of traditional virtues that had made its Republic great. The Pentecost was a small event in Israel that inspired a few of Jesus’ followers to go out and spread the Good News of a way of life based on the love of a God and the spiritual higher consciousness that he taught.
It was not easy. The disciples were not highly trained, but they planted churches, and they moved the hearts of men like Paul. They formed communities in which people loved, supported, and trusted one another. Christians were originally considered members of a strange cult, but they produced the trustworthy, honest, and self-sacrificial people that the Empire needed in government offices, and eventually the Empire adopted Christianity as the official religion by remaining steadfast to their values and ethical system.
Pentecost was just the beginning, like planting a seed in the ground that took root where hate, selfishness, and war had previously tread.

Everything is crying out “the end of the world.” Yet each day we arise to carry on with business as usual. The Mayans did not last long enough to enjoy the fantastic humor and memes that celebrated their failed apocalypse, but the Moon-ones on the other hand will be around to be a part of our own “end of the world,” commonly called “Foundation Day.”
Just as the world awoke on December 22, 2012 to continue its wars, economic collapses, and voracious consumer obsessions, will the Moon-ones do the same? Will we awaken on February 23 and return to our habitual addictions? The next direction, the next, “this is it, no no this is really it,” the next gazing at pictures, the next convoluted reinterpretation where yet another “great thing” still seems like nothing really happened.
We have been living toward Foundation Day for 12 straight years! To what other purpose have you devoted 12 unending years of your life? Hopefully whatever you did for 12 years, you became pretty good at. So we should be pretty good at knowing what’s Foundation Day.
So what is Foundation Day? This morning I received an official communication, OFFICIAL, from a major church leader. In his communique was this paragraph:
“When Hyung Jin Nim was asked on one occasion – what is the meaning of
Foundation Day – he said he honestly didn’t know. He described it as something of a mystery, but we are going to find out when we get there.”
My guess is that we’ll do no such thing. And just as the world at large awoke on December 22, worried only about last minute shopping, and lusting after their next generation iPhone, isn’t it likely that huge part of the Moon world will awaken on February 23, and console themselves with their addictions and distractions, not an iPhone, but the next letter from headquarters. What should be believed now? What should we do now?
While we wait for our “official direction” email, please come to an important gathering taking place March ( or April) _______ to ________ , a gathering to discuss not only Foundation Day, but to examine what we’ve been doing all our lives, just what is God’s providence, and precisely how do we plan practically and substantially to carry it out.

I do not believe we should expect some dramatic outpouring from the spirit world as happened on the Day of Pentecost following Jesus’ death and resurrection. Because Jesus left such a meager foundation on the earth, his followers needed such a sign to give them the strength and hope they needed to carry on God’s work against overwhelming odds. Despite all of our problems, True Father has left behind a much more substantial foundation. God’s expectation I believe is that we inherit and embody True Parents’ example in our own lives and families. As Father once said, we should all become messiahs. The more we do this, the faster God’s kingdom will come.
